La Chambre compte \u00e9galement 6 membres sans droit de vote, qui repr\u00e9sentent le District de Columbia et certains territoires am\u00e9ricains. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Chambre a le pouvoir d&#039;initier des projets de loi sur les recettes, de destituer des fonctionnaires f\u00e9d\u00e9raux et d&#039;\u00e9lire le pr\u00e9sident en cas d&#039;\u00e9galit\u00e9 des voix au sein du coll\u00e8ge \u00e9lectoral. Le chef de file de la Chambre est le <a href=\"https:\/\/american-politics.net\/fr\/se-battre-pour-trouver-le-prochain-president-de-la-chambre\/\" title=\"Lutte pour trouver le prochain pr\u00e9sident de la Chambre\">Conf\u00e9rencier<\/a>, qui est \u00e9lu par les membres<sup>1<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Le S\u00e9nat est compos\u00e9 de 100 membres<\/strong>, qui sont \u00e9lus par le peuple de chaque \u00c9tat, quelle que soit sa population. Chaque \u00c9tat compte deux s\u00e9nateurs, dont le mandat est de six ans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le S\u00e9nat a le pouvoir de confirmer ou de rejeter les nominations du pr\u00e9sident, de ratifier les trait\u00e9s et de juger les cas de destitution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le chef du S\u00e9nat est le vice-pr\u00e9sident, qui peut voter pour d\u00e9partager les voix si n\u00e9cessaire.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/about-the-white-house\/our-government\/the-legislative-branch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les deux chambres du Congr\u00e8s doivent adopter un projet de loi \u00e0 la majorit\u00e9 des voix avant qu&#039;il puisse \u00eatre transmis au Pr\u00e9sident pour approbation ou veto.
